Brains, heart, and better systems: the secret to raising more and stressing less.
We’re two experienced, no-fluff women who believe giving should feel good - for donors and for the people doing the work. At FourPoints Collective, we help nonprofits grow strong teams, smart systems, and clear strategies that turn generosity into joy.
We know the challenges because we’ve lived them. That’s why everything we do is tailored to your organization - your people, your goals, your mission. We’re here to set you up for lasting success, and yes… we like to have a little fun along the way.
Knowing the real challenges teams face, we created the FourPoints Framework to help organizations build strong, sustainable fundraising from the start. Our approach is authentic, direct, and empowering — grounded in four essential points that drive meaningful, lasting results:
1
Systems and Structure - Do you have the right systems in place for a relationship-based fundraising program? (Mid-level fundraising is far more than high-level direct mail packages - but you should absolutely be working with your direct mail teams - they are your pipeline!)
2
Impact - Do you know how to tell your stories in a way that feels impactful to donors? Do you have the right cadence and structure for stewardship and cultivation plans?
3
Personnel - Do your people know how to build and run a successful relationship-based program? Does your staff have the right attributes to be successful in mid-level (or major gifts) fundraising?
4
Innovation - Are you leveraging innovative tools like AI to enhance your roles? Are you sharing your organization’s innovation efforts with your donors?
We know how many consultants and “systems” there are out there for fundraising. It’s overwhelming and can feel impossible to find the one right for you. That’s why it was so important to us that we created something practical that allows you to do the work you love most: working with donors.
Meet Lisa
Hi, I’m Lisa. Like many in our field, I fell into fundraising and stayed because it combines my passions of connecting with people, clear communication, teaching, and helping others succeed. I love building systems because I believe they create organizational efficiency and unleash people’s potential.
Before launching FourPoints Collective with Kara, I worked with nonprofits nationwide, helping them build fundraising programs that were effective, and helped fundraisers bring joy to and inspire their donors. Most recently, I stepped in as an Interim Director of Development for two large organizations, managing teams that raised $5M and $25M, respectively.
Service has been at the heart of my career. As a nonprofit executive, I learned donors want to give, to know their impact, and they enjoy a personal touch. By showing appreciation and sharing stories of those whose lives were changed, I helped grow fundraising programs across four communities. Every story shared, every thank you extended, built deeper trust and lasting relationships.
My transition into consulting was a natural step. I’ve worked with organizations of all sizes — from teams of two to national organizations like the March of Dimes, the American Cancer Society, and St. Jude's/ALSAC.
At FourPoints, my focus remains the same: to meet people where they are and help them achieve their goals, to use data wisely, tell powerful stories, and build fundraising programs that bring joy, deepen impact, and drive results.
On a personal note, I’m a mom of four, bonus mom to three (if you’re doing the math, that’s seven kids!), “Lola” to four, and wife to one amazing guy. I live outside of Fort Worth. I love clouds, college football and a good spreadsheet.
“Lisa is the consummate professional and a leader in her field. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her for many years and my organization is much better off thanks to her. When I first started working with Lisa, she brought much-needed focus and organization to our development office, professionalized our operation, increased revenue and retention of major donors, and ensured that our supporters experienced joy in their philanthropic giving to Freedom Alliance. Lisa is somebody who loves a challenge, gets results, and is a delight to work with. Hire her today.”

Meet Kara
Hi, I'm Kara — co-founder of FourPoints Collective and a lifelong believer that fundraising should feel joyful, not stressful. I’m a subject matter expert in building and scaling midlevel fundraising programs and teams, with a deep passion for teaching both midlevel and major gift officers how to steward and solicit alike, making every ask feel like an opportunity, not a transaction.
Before launching FourPoints Collective, I served in various fundraising and consultancy roles, working for many different organizations to build, grow, and lead teams to success. Most recently, I was with the American Cancer Society, where I led an incredible team to raise $8.97M on a $7.6M goal, exceeding expectations through a blend of strategic leadership, collaborative teamwork, and a donor-first mindset.
Throughout my career, I’ve helped teams unlock their full potential by simplifying fundraising strategies, fostering authentic relationships, and showing fundraisers the real joy they’re bringing to the people who support their missions.
At FourPoints Collective, I’m committed to helping organizations build sustainable, high-performing midlevel programs, and empowering fundraisers at every level to approach their work with confidence, clarity, and heart.
“Kara is the most talented and knowledgeable person I know regarding all aspects of fundraising, which is why I brought her in to help Phoenix Rescue Mission launch a mid-level and major gift initiative. Kara not only helped build the infrastructure for the mid-level and major giving areas, but she also mentored and coached our department leader and gift officers – many of which were new to the organization and new to fundraising – on strategies to help them succeed. She helped the Development team make solid decisions that always kept the donor’s intent and the organization’s best interest in mind. She is an excellent problem solver, communicator and advocate for the people and organizations she serves. Kara is a knowledgeable, compassionate, collaborative, and talented leader that people simply want to follow.
“Our mid-level and major gift efforts stand on a firm foundation, thanks in large part to Kara’s efforts and leadership.”
– Ken Brissa, CEO, Phoenix Rescue Mission
Core Values
-
We believe in showing up as our full, honest selves - real, transparent, and grounded. Whether we’re collaborating with leaders, facilitating learning, or coaching fundraisers, our work at FourPoints Collective is rooted in growing people, strengthening systems, and sharpening storytelling - all to help nonprofits raise more money with thoughtful intentions and purpose.

We are committed to growth - personal, relational, and collective. We believe in evolving with intention, learning as we go, and helping others rise alongside us. Mentoring fundraisers to grow is a deep passion of ours.
-
We speak up, lean in, and take action. We use our voice and influence to create better systems, better stories, and better outcomes — for ourselves and for those organizations we serve.
-
We don’t do things just to do them. We lead with intention, align our actions with our values, and invest in what matters - people, impact, and meaningful change.
